Program Description:

UW in India

UW in India students with guru
This is a program for students who are eager to depart from their comfort zone, conduct research on a topic that inspires them, and learn about the rich traditions and cultures of India. The heart of the program is a self-designed directed field study, a chance to research a topic in-depth. Students also take classes in Hindi and pursue a tutorial under the mentorship of a guru. Academically administered by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the UW in India program is open to students from all academic institutions.

Tuition and fees for the program are set based on the host institution’s rates, and will be charged to the participant’s UNC student account. Always refer to the Budget Sheet on this page, and not the host institution’s posted rates, as it is customized for UNC students.
